Abstract

More than 50% -80% are fungal infections in the oral cavity. Fungal infections of the oral cavity called candidiasis caused by Candida albicans. Treatment of candidiasis usually with the use of antifungal drugs in which its content of synthetic
materials. The use of synthetic materials is not completely safe because cause various side effects, thus to minimize the side effects of the drug can be used in the treatment of
natural materials. One drug that is often used by the people of West Sumatra which leaves sicerek (Clausena Excavata Burm F). Leaves sicerek (Clausena Excavata Burm
F) contain active compounds alkaloids and flavonoids that can be used as an antifungal. This type of research is an experimental research laboratory to determine the in vitro antifungal activity of leaf extract sicerek (Clausena Excavata Burm F) against the fungus Candida albicans. Statistical analysis using ANOVA test with p = 0.000 <0.05. The results showed that the average diameter zone of inhibition highest concentration of 50%, ie 13.50 mm, while the mean diameter of the inhibition zone is the lowest concentration of 10%, ie 6.75 mm.
